Estimates suggest that between 14% and 15% of the Indian population suffers from some form of mental wellness. A study estimated that 14.3% of the population, had mental disorders like anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia, eating disorders, disruptive behavior and dissocial disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders. The National Mental Health Survey found that 15% of Indian adults need active intervention for mental issues.

- Practice gratitude- Be grateful for what you are and what you have. Be patient with the process. This can elevate your focus from negative to positive. This can improve your overall mental wellness.
- Access your needs- access in what areas you need help and seek help for it, with whom you’re comfortable.
- Start small- One step at a time. Start with small activities and make improvements. Later you can try big tasks efficiently.
- Set realistic goals- set achievable goals to stay focused and motivated. Be kind and not hard on yourself.
